Supporting Global Healthcare Through Oxygen Concentrator Training
At United Infusion, we believe better healthcare starts with reliable equipment and the knowledge to use and maintain it well. That is why we are proud to share a recent training effort led by Ken Pacheco, Biomedical Equipment Technician at United Infusion, in partnership with the Trimedx Foundation on February 25. The training supported healthcare teams in different locations throughout Africa and focused on practical education around oxygen concentrators.
This training reflects a shared commitment to improving global healthcare access through technical support and education. By working alongside the Trimedx Foundation, United Infusion helped deliver hands-on learning that can strengthen equipment performance, improve reliability, and support better patient care in resource-limited settings. The effort was not only about devices. It was about giving healthcare teams the tools and confidence they need to keep critical equipment running.
The session covered several core areas that are essential for effective oxygen concentrator use and maintenance. Participants received an overview of concentrator operation, including how oxygen concentrators produce medical-grade oxygen and how their main components work together. The training also walked through preventive maintenance procedures, helping teams understand routine inspection points, cleaning procedures, filter checks, performance verification, and documentation best practices.
Another major focus was troubleshooting. The training addressed common concentrator failures and showed how to diagnose issues using observation, basic tools, and logical troubleshooting steps. It also covered simple repairs and adjustments that can be completed without replacement parts. That practical approach can make a meaningful difference for healthcare teams that need to keep equipment functioning with limited resources and limited access to replacement components.
For United Infusion, this training is a strong example of how technical expertise can create impact beyond equipment delivery alone. When healthcare teams have access to training that improves their ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot essential devices, they are better prepared to deliver safe and consistent care. Oxygen concentrators play a critical role in many care settings, and supporting the people who depend on them is part of supporting better outcomes overall.
We are proud of Ken Pacheco for leading this effort and proud to support the Trimedx Foundation’s mission. Partnerships like this show how education, service, and technical knowledge can come together to expand access to care and strengthen healthcare systems where support is needed most.
